Animalympics is the soundtrack from the animated film Animalympics, released in 1980. The soundtrack had a limited physical release, only available on LP and cassette. The US edition was released by A&M Records, while the UK and European editions were released by Mercury Records. [1]

The music for Animalympics was written and produced by Graham Gouldman, founding member and bassist with 10cc [2]. The musicians on the soundtrack comprised most of the rest of 10cc, with the exception of Eric Stewart. The soundtrack was recorded primarily in Strawberry Studios North and South, used extensively by 10cc, as well as in Los Angeles. [3]

Also featured in the film is an orchestration of Frank Zappa's "I Don't Know If I Can Go Through This Again" and Pink Floyd's "One of My Turns."[2]

The cover features a cartoon gold medal, on a white background in the US edition, and on a yellow background in the UK and European edition.
