Anil Radhakrishnan Menon is an Indian film director who works in Malayalam films. His directorial debut North 24 Kaatham (2013) won the National Film Award for Best Feature Film in Malayalam and Kerala State Film Award for Second Best Film.[1] His second film Sapthamashree Thaskaraha (2014) also received positive reviews from critics,[2] and became a hit at the box office.[3]

Personal life

Born in Ottappalam to Radhakrishnan Palat and Jayashree,Anil shifted his base to Mumbai after his post graduation.He directed so many popular television commercials before venturing in to movie making.He is married to Sharada,lives in Ottappalam now and has a son named Rajat Anil Menon.

Film career

His first film North 24 Kaatham starring Fahadh Faasil and Nedumudi Venu in the lead roles was very well appreciated and fetched him various accolades including national award and state award.With the success of his second movie Sapthamashree Thaskaraha Menon became one of the most sought after directors in the south Indian film industry.His third outing as a director and writer was Lord Livingstone 7000 Kandi a fantasy drama of seven people embarking on a journey to save a tribal village.He is currently shooting a sports comedy with a set of new comers and prominent faces like Kunchako Boban, Nyla Usha, Rajeev Govinda Pillai et al.[4]
