The Anhembi virus (AMBV) is a strain of Wyeomyia virus in the genus Bunyavirus, belonging serologically to the Bunyamwera serogroup.It is isolated from the rodent, Proechimys iheringi, and a mosquito, Phoniomyia pilicauda, in São Paulo, Brazil. Until 2001 that virus have not reported to cause disease in humans.[1]
