Angus Richmond
Angus Percy Bain Richmond (10 January 1925 – 8 August 2007) was a Guyanese novelist and poet who spent the latter part of his life in Britain.
Background
Richmond was born and raised in Georgetown, British Guiana (now Guyana). He won a scholarship to study at Queen's College in Georgetown and went on to read English, French and Latin at the University of London. Themes of race and class are prevalent in Richmond's work. Richmond is succeeded by one daughter, Jean, who is a teacher.
