Angela McCormick, is a Scottish politician and human rights activist.

Political career

She stood twice in Glasgow North constituency at the 2010 and 2015 British general elections for the Scottish Socialist Party and the Trade Unionist and Socialist Coalition respectively.[1][2] McCormick has represented numerous workers over the last decade, and has campaigned on issues such as equal pay, disability discrimination, and pensions.[3][4][5][6]

She has been a longstanding critic of the Dungavel Detention Centre for failed asylum seekers.[7] She is an active participant in the Stop the War Coalition, campaigned against the 31st G8 summit at Gleneagles.[8]

Personal life

McCormick is a supporter of Partick Thistle.
