Andrew Canton is an American rapper, singer, and record producer, who was signed to Atlantic Records in 2007.[1] He is most recently known for writing the chorus to Lil Wayne's song Right Above It featuring Drake.[2] The song went on to go double platinum selling over 2,000,000 copies according to the RIAA.[3]

Music career

He started his career on MySpace by giving out free beats to top underground artists. Some of the notable people he produced for were Wiz Khalifa, Nikki Jean and even Soulja Boy. In 2007, after performing at a local carnival, he caught the attention of an Atlantic Record's A&R who signed him on the spot but was later dropped from the label because the A&R got released from the label. Andrew Canton did not even get to release a single song under the company. In a recent interview, Andrew Canton stated that he would not release a mixtape until he has reached 1 million YouTube views.
