Andrawos Bassous, (born November 11, 1991, Bethlehem), is a Palestinian-Swedish photographer, musician and YouTuber. A man of multiple skills and talents, he moves as easily in the world of photography as in the world of music.[1]

He has had several of his photographs shown on Swedish national TV[2] and has also had his work featured in Al Jazeera,[3] MBC1,[4] BBC[5] and Al Arabiya[6] among others.

Life

Andrawos grew up in Bethlehem, Palestine. He has loved photography since he was young. Andrawos moved to Sweden when he was 16 years old.[7] Since 2014, Andrawos is well known for taking non-traditional wedding photos specially in places where there are conflicts and war in the Palestinian cities. Despite the hard situations, he was able to hit more than 1 million followers on Facebook.[8] In 2017, both Al Jazeera new TV[9] channel and Jerusalem Newspaper[10] published Andrawos Bassous photos for the first time, then he was the only photographer from Palestine to appear on the MBC1[11] morning show which broadcasts from Dubai.

Photography And Song Covers

He shares song covers and behind the scenes photography content on Facebook & YouTube. He has sang Arabic and Turkish hits alongside his sister Piatrice.[12] Andrawos played and sang the best hit songs of Ramadan’s dramas, and then mixed all the songs into one. The video hit more than a million views in one week and trended on many social media websites.[13] Andrawos continued to make more videos with his sister Piatrice, including one in which they sing a Turkish song entitled “A Sad Winter.” For the second time in a row, the video hit more than one million views. Many Arab and foreign TV channels reported on it, such as BBC Radio – London, in its program BBC Extra;[14] Al-Hurra TV; Maan TV, and Al-Quds newspaper.[15] His musical ability led him to Berlin, where he played the Scottish drum in front of 18,000 spectators. In addition to participating in many international music championships, Andrawos has played with the world champion in drumming – Jim Kilpatrick MBE – in Glasgow, Scotland. He has also won numerous prizes and awards around the world, including one at the Scandinavian Championship in Copenhagen, Denmark.[16][17]
