Amy Cohen Banker

Amy Cohen Banker is an internationally exhibited American abstract painter. She studied at Cornell University and later spent a decade as the studio assistant to the artist Knox Martin.[1] Her work is the subject of the book "Amy Banker Now" with essays by among others Martin and Agnes Berecz.[2] Her work has been the subject of numerous solo exhibitions including at the Asher Nieman[3] and Ezair galleries and has been included in many group shows including at the Carrozzini von Buhler Gallery. Banker Cohen has been an artist-in-residence at the Cornell Club in New York City.[4]

Cohen Banker appeared in the International print media under a different set of circumstances when her New York art dealer, Marijana Bego seemingly jumped to her death from the roof of the Madison avenue building her gallery was housed in.[5][6]
