Amritsar College of Engineering and Technology is an autonomous college affiliated to Punjab Technical University, Kapurthala. It is situated in Manawala, at a close distance. from city, Amritsar, Punjab, India.[1] The institute was established in 2002, by the Amritsar International Foundation (Trust).[2][3]

The Campus is spread across 13 acres with a strength of more than 1200 students. The Chairman is Mr Amit Sharma and Principal of the college is Dr V.K Banga. The strength of academic staff is more than 300.

Recognitions

It is accredited by NBA and NAAC for engineering studies in Punjab.It is an AICTE approved[4] college in Punjab and has also obtained 2000 Certification by ISO 9001 in 2003. It is also affiliated to Punjab Technical University[5][6]

Courses

Institute offers courses at undergraduate, graduate and post graduate levels. It also provides vocational programs like hotel management and other professional courses to students. Its degree is applicable in 17 countries. It provides a degree of Bachelors in Technology in fields of Civil Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Electrical Engineering .It also offers the provision of lateral entry in the same.[7] Apart from Engineering it provides degree of Bachelors in Computer Applications, Bachelors in Business Administration,B.SC Economics and B.Com Professional. The Post Graduate courses provided are Masters of Business Administration, Master of Computer Applications. It provides regular as well as part-time courses for Masters in Technology in field of Computer Science and Engineering and Electronics and Communication Engineering.[8]

Infrastructure

The institute has a well equipped library,advanced labs, sports facility, separate hostel for girls and boys. The institute features a Center of Excellence that offers various training courses through its cells like the ROBOLAB, Big Data Lab, and Auto Lab etc.[9]

International tie-ups

ACET has also collaborated with foreign universities for providing advanced educational program to its students. The institute has signed MOU with international universities like University of the Fraser Valley, University of Pittsburgh, USA and Dongguk University Seoul, South Korea. ACET has ties with companies like Oracle Corporation, Cisco Systems and Sun Microsystems which provide certified courses to the students.
