Mufti Amjad Ali Aazami (Urdu: مفتى امجد على اعظمى) (November 1882 – September 6, 1948), also known as Sadr-ush-Shariah (Urdu: صدر الشريعه, Chief of the Islamic Law) Badr-e-Tariqat (Shining Moon of the Spiritual Mythology or Tariqah) was an Islamic jurist, writer and former Grand Mufti and Qadi of India.[1] Mufti Amjad Ali was born in 1882 (1300 Hijri), in the Mohalla Karimuddin Pur, Ghosi, Mau district, Uttar Pradesh, India.[2][3][4] His Father name Hakim Jamal al-din.His faher and grandfather both were renowned scholars in religious theology and expert specialists in the “Unani” (Greek) system of medicine.[5]

Death

Sadrsuh Shariah Hazrat Mufti Amjad Ali Azmi died on September 6, 1948 (2 Dhul Qadah 1367 AH). in Bombay, and buried at Ghosi in Uttar Pradesh (U.P), India.[6]
