Ami Thumi is a 2017 Indian Telugu romantic comedy film written and directed by Mohanakrishna Indraganti. Produced by K C Narasimha Rao, it features Adivi Sesh, Eesha Rebba, Vennela Kishore, Avasarala Srinivas, and Aditi Myakal in the lead roles.[2] The music was composed by Mani Sharma while cinematography was handled by P. G. Vinda.

Upon release, the movie bagged positive reviews with critics mostly praising Vennela Kishore's performance.[3][4][5]

Plot

Deepika (Eesha Rebba) and Vijay (Avasarala Srinivas) are siblings who fall in love with Ananth (Adivi Sesh) and Maya (Aditi Myakal) respectively.

Janardhan (Tanikella Bharani) and Gangadhar (kedarnath) are a bitter rivals because of their business issues. Maya is the one and only daughter to gangadhar. Her step mother (madhumani) everyday threatens her to death for acquiring entire property to his son. Gangadhar objects her relationship with Vijay because of their rivalry depressed maya rejected the idea to elope with vijay and decides to become nun she go away from home secretly. Meanwhile, Janardhan rejects deepika and vijay's proposals to marriage because ananth is an orphan and He is from middle class and obviously he rejects Vijay proposal because their rivalry. Then frustrated Vijay went to farm house to relax and plan further. Meanwhile, janardhan arranges a match with Sri chilipi (Vennela Kishore) to depika and he locks her in the bedroom and started waiting for his arrival. In vizag Sri chillipi with the guidance of his father pedda chillipi decides to marry depika for the sake of janardhan's property because of their businesses were in losses. According to chilipi's family custom the bride grooms never see brides until the marriage is fixed. So after his father guidance sri chilipi went to see the bride in Hyderabad with his loyal servant kaasi. Here in janardhan's house depika is saved tactically by her trusted age barred housemaid kumari who is still unmarried waiting for a wealthy bride groom. Decides to help her to unite with ananth. That day before night ananth went to Kolkata for an important business meeting and it was informed to Vijay. Depika went to a coffee shop to plan further but accidentally she meets maya and understands her situation and tries to take her decision back. Then she recognises Sri chilipi in the same coffee shop and approached him as maya and tells him that she is in love with ananth who is loving depika and she gives an idea to unite maya and ananth then there will be no obstacles to marry depika. In the lust of property Sri chilipi eventually agrees with her and allowed her to stay in his royal suit. Meanwhile, in kolkata ananth get to know the situations by Kumari and he cancels his programmes and started to come back. Sri chilipi after meeting with depika he went to janardhan's house and successfully impressed janardhan with his talkative skills and finally shocked to see Kumari assumed that she is depika became disappointed then he remembered his father words digested the truth and decides to marry her. Then Kumari accepts him for the marriage on one condition that her marriage want to be an adventurous one he want to elope and marry her on that same day he eventually accepts it. Then he told about the conversation with maya (in thinking of Sri chilipi) to janardhan and announce to kidnap ananth. Then thinking that one shot three birds janardhan encourages to kidnap ananth then suddenly ananth arrives to janardhan's house and make nuisance among them then with a hard struggle and with the help of kaasi Sri chilipi kidnaps ananth and went to the hotel and leave ananth and depika privately in his suit. Then ananth understands all the circumstances which has been going on then he make hands with depika and he announces Sri chilipi to marry her. Meanwhile, Vijay get to know that maya was ran away from home through his trusted car driver's sources and started to search for maya then he came to know that ananth and maya is going to marry in a temple near city out skirts. It frustrates Vijay more and feels betrayed in the process his cell phone was destroyed. Then he is on the way to meet them in the temple. Meanwhile, depika gives further instructions to Kumari through a Skype call and instructs ananth to go to temple and call Vijay to give instructions for to come temple and she meets maya in st. cathedrals church and successfully convinced her to take her decision back. Meanwhile, sri chilipi and Kumari escapes from the janardhan's house and make wedding shopping for all the pairs and went to the same temple there they meets ananth, depika and maya after a few minutes angered vijay comes to the temple and make quarrel with ananth then he meets the other and understands the complete situation and ready to marry ananth and Sri chilipi arranges a priest called Sarva mangala sastry aka SMS to do there marriage. Meanwhile, Janardhan thinking that all was going to be on plan decides to take revenge on gangadhar and informs the matter to him. Then gangadhar and his family went to stop the marriage. Janardhan also went to see the marriage. Then it was too late the marriage was done to three pairs then Sri chilipi came to know the facts and how he was cheated by depika, ananth and Kumari. Then finally Sri chilipi revealed his true nature after some comical circumstances arose then he and Kumari decides to compromise and leaves the place. Then all the discusses again then janardhan and gangadhar leaves their rivalry then the partners unite together and janardhan accepts ananth as his son in law. Maya problems are cleared with her step mother. Finally Kumari became a wealthy house wife to Sri chilipi and started harassing both chilipis.
