Amalesh Sen (Bengali: অমলেশ সেন) (2 March 1943 – 7 October 2017[1]) was a Bangladeshi football coach and a former player.[2]He was the proud member of Shadhin Bangla Football Team.[3]
He was the lifelong coach & former footballer of Dhaka Abahani.
Dhaka Mohammedan & Dhaka Abahani first met each other during 1973 Dhaka League.The battle between of this two giant is commonly known as Dhaka Derby among the spectators.Amalesh scored the first goal in that match & became the first ever goal scorer in the history of Dhaka Derby.[4]
