Ali Abu Khumra (born 15 November 1981) is a director and executive producer from Babylon Province, Iraq. He grew up in a foster family in Baghdad City, where he completed college, then went to live in the UAE. Abu Khumra is co-finder and owner for Dubbai-based production company called Etana Production located in Dubai Media City.

Early life

Ali was born in Babylon Province on 15 November 1981. His parents were both engineers and had three sons. Ali and his brother Muhaned found their passion in filmmaking while in college, so they enhanced their abilities, mastered many skills, and worked with a number of local productions.

Work experience

After he moved to the UAE, he and his brother founded Etana Production for television and film. Ali started his career at Alsharqiya TV and his first program was Bashar, a talk show live program. His second TV show was Free The Legend, the first Iraqi reality adventure program. He then produced the first Iraqi cartoon: Al-Attag, a comedy cartoon.
