Aleksandr Terentyevich Karpov (Russian: Алекса́ндр Тере́нтьевич Ка́рпов) (1917–1944) was an aviation commander of the Soviet Army and ace during the Great Patriotic War, twice Hero of the Soviet Union and recipient of several other awards, including the Order of Lenin and the Order of the Red Banner.[1]
