Alec Yasinsac

Alec Yasinsac is the Dean of the School of Computing, University of South Alabama, United States.[1][2]

A retired U.S. Marine,[3] Yasinsac was awarded his doctoral degree in 1996 from the University of Virginia, where his doctoral advisor was William Wulf.[2][4] He received the Master of Science in Computer Science from the Naval Postgraduate School and Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from Appalachian State University.[2]

Yasinsac is the co-founder and co-director of the Security and Assurance in Information Security (SAIT) Laboratory. He was a visiting scholar at the National Academy of Engineering (NAE) in 2006,[3] served on the advisory board for the NAE 2007 National Meeting Symposium on Electronic Voting,[2] and led the team that conducted the source code review in support of the Florida Department of State audit of Florida's 13th congressional district 2006 election.[5]
