Alaus speciosus is a species of click beetle in the genus Alaus.
Bio control use
In Hawaii and in Asia where there are coconut rhinoceros beetles (Oryctes rhinoceros) the Alaus speciosus beetle can or may be used to control its population as it may eat the grubs or eggs of Oryctes rhinoceros.[1]
