Alan Gooch is an American former college football coach and sports executive. He is the executive director of the Orlando Sports Foundation. Gooch served as the interim head football coach at the University of Central Florida (UCF) for two games in 2003. Following the dismissal of Mike Kruczek, Gooch coached the final two games of the 2003 season, against Marshall and the Miami RedHawks. He previously served as the assistant head coach, from 1998 to 2003. While the assistant head coach, he had future-Auburn head coach Gene Chizik on his staff from 1998 to 2001.[1]
