Malayalam: ആലംപാടി Alampady is a small town in Muttathody, about 7 km south of the town of Kasaragod East, Kasaragod, Kerala, India. It comes under Chengala Panchayath. It belongs to North Kerala Division and is located 2 km towards South from District headquarters Kasaragod. 579 km from State capital Thiruvananthapuram. The Qilar Juma Masjid, one of the oldest Masjid in Kasaragod, is situated in the heart of Alampady. Uroos festival is held once in every five year is famous in this area. Its economy is dependent on remittance from expatriate workers in the Persian Gulf, particularly United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia. Recently there have been many plans of the local government and private companies to invest in infrastructure and real estate development. One of the major project underway is a Cricket Stadium of Kerala Cricket Association, which is expected to complete in December 2018.
