Aladdin - Naam Toh Suna Hoga is SAB TV's fantasy show starring Siddharth Nigam and Avneet Kaur.[1][2][3]

Plot

The story starts with Mallika, a powerful and evil enchantress who plans to take over the world. Her plans are foiled by her servant named Hassan who kills Mallika by turning her into a statue, but before she dies, Mallika turns Hassan into a Genie and traps him in a lamp not to be found until 500 years as she promised to return after the same time.

500 years later a boy named Aladdin is born in Baghdad who is the true owner of the lamp but is unaware of this. He is a kind-hearted young man who always tries to make everyone happy. He is also Baghdad’s notorious Black Thief who many have tried to capture and have failed. He became the Black Thief on the insistence of his selfish aunt Nazneen and uncle Mustafa. Aladdin lives with his mother Rukhsar who is also very kind. They both are deeply in debt and are constantly taunted because Rukhsar’s husband Omar was accused of being a traitor and was arrested by some royal member. Rukhsar however does not believe this and believes he will come back.

Aladdin also has a crush on Baghdad’s Princess Yasmine. Yasmine is a beautiful and talented young lady who aspires to become Baghdad’s Queen someday. Yasmine’s maid and best friend Piddhi is also Aladdin’s friend and has feelings from him but Aladdin does not know this. Zafar, the evil prime minister of Baghdad wants to secretly take over the throne and kill Emperor Shahnawaz, Yasmine’s father and marry Yasmine to become Emperor. For this he wants the magical lamp and lures the Black Thief to steal it for him by putting up a precious diamond for display. Yasmine knows the thief will try to steal the diamond so she disguises herself and stops Aladdin. They meet for the first time. Yasmine figures the diamond is fake and leaves just as Zafar walks in and offers Aladdin ten-thousand gold-coins if he manages to give him the lamp and Aladdin agrees.

He sets out to find the lamp but his bag gets exchanged with Yasmine’s which causes her to follow him. While fighting, they have a moment. Yasmine gets her bag and leaves while Aladdin after overcoming many challenges meets the protector of the lamp who is none other than his father Omar but he and Omar are unaware of this fact. They fight but Omar realizes Aladdin is good at heart and takes him to the magic cave where Aladdin uses his smartness to get the lamp but is unable to escape as he accidentally took a coin from the treasure with him.

Out of frustration he rubs the lamp from which Hassan, now a Genie comes out. They are both frightened of each other at first but become friends and Genie gets them out of the cave. There Aladdin sees Omar waiting for him and gets a fatherly feeling. Omar trusts Aladdin with the Genie’s responsibility and both return to Baghdad where Aladdin introduces Genie as his business partner Sheikh Ginu. Omar decides to seek revenge from the people who framed him. He is also under the misconception that the people who framed him killed Rukhsar.

Yasmine finds out that a gang is involved in illegal activities in Baghdad and the leader of this gang is called Muchchhad. She is unaware that Mucchad is actually Zafar. She infiltrates the Gang’s camp but Aladdin comes there as their bags had got exchanged again. He gets them caught but they manage to escape when Ginu saves them from fire. Aladdin, Yasmine and Ginu fly on a magic carpet and there Aladdin cannot stop starting at Yasmine when she is unconscious. Aladdin tries to give the lamp to Zafar but cannot do so as he and Rukhsar had developed a bond with Ginu. Aladdin also realizes that Zafar is Mucchad and he tried to trick him. Yasmine tells her father the Sultan about the Gang and Mucchad, and seeing her hard work he decides to crown her the Queen soon. To celebrate this Yasmine and Piddi go to a friend’s house for a feast where even Aladdin and Ginu are present. Aladdin and Yasmine meet each other again and start fighting and Ginu sees love blossoming between them.

Ginu tries to being them closer with his magic but fails as Aladdin ans Yasmine are chased out when they make a mess at the party. They escape on the magic carpet and are in a drunken state because of Ginu’s magic. Zafar finds a lookalike of the Sultan named Jhumman and hires him to become king. Zafar has Omar kidnap the real king and replaces him with Jhumman.
