Al Rafisah Dam

The Al Rafisah Dam is a dam of Sharjah, United Arab Emirates. It dams the Wadi Shis near the village of Al Rafisah. The dam was built in the 1985s at the same time as the Khor Fakkan Dam by Emirates McAlpine Contractors Ltd, a subsidiary of Alfred McAlpine International Ltd under a $63 million contract.[1][2]

A rest area with tourist facilities was built alongside the dam as part of the Sharjah-Khor Fakkan highway project, a 14-year project to connect the interior of the UAE with the east coast.[3]
