Aksel Johannes Skramstad Rykkvin (born 11 April 2003) is a Norwegian boy soprano.

Biography

Rykkvin has a background from the children's choir at the Norwegian National Opera and Ballet and Oslo Domkirkes Guttekor. He received song lessons at eight years of age, first by song teacher Helene Haarr, from 2013, and with Marianne Willumsen Lewis as main teacher.[1]

Rykkvin has received a good reputation internationally, both for the album Aksel! (2016) and for solo concerts. He was nominated for this year's newcomer at the 2016 Spellemannprisen for Arias By Bach, Händel & Mozart.[2] In January 2017 he was named "The Musician of the Year" during the national part of the Youth Music Championship 2016-2017.[3]
