Ajit Prabhu is an Indian entrepreneur who is the Chairman and CEO of Quest Global which he co-founded with Aravind Melligeri in 1997 at Schenectady, New York. He hails from Hubballi city in the Indian state of Karnataka.[1]

Early education

He has completed his Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Karnataka University, India and a Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Old Dominion University. Also, he holds another Master's degree in Bio-Mechanical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, New York. He gained practical experience at General Electric’s Corporate Research and Development Center located in Schenectady, New York while working on power generation, aircraft engines, appliances and locomotive related engineering problems.   • He is the recipient of Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year India Award 2014 in the Service category.[4]
  • He was awarded with Outstanding Entrepreneur Award in 2014 by the Singapore Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry(SICCI).[5]
  • He is a Six Sigma Greenbelt certificate holder and also the recipient of the Young Investigator Award from the International Association for Dental Research.[2]
  • He was the third person to be inducted into the Hall of Fame of the Department of Mechanical Engineering of the Old Dominion University in the 87 year history of the University.[6]
  • He was also given Outstanding Achievement award, by the University Alumni Association for his accomplishment in building one of the leading global engineering companies in the world - Quest Global.[6]
  • He won Global Entrepreneur of the year award for his efforts and contributions towards entrepreneurship development from the TiE Hubballi chapter in February 13, 2018 at TiECoN 2018.[7]
