Adeel Hashmi (born July 17, 1973) is a Pakistani television/film actor, comedian, social worker, producer, filmmaker, and screenwriter.[2] He is known for his comical roles in shows such as Teen Bata Teen and Ulta Saeeda.[3][1]

Adeel Hashmi was born in Islamabad, Pakistan. He studied at Government College University. He holds an MBA degree from Imperial College and Master's of Fine Arts degree from Academy of Art University in San Francisco, U.S.[1]

He started his career working for PTV, which was the only channel available in Pakistan in the 1990s. His most popular show was Teen Bata Teen where he played the part of Luci.

Family

Adeel Hashmi belongs to a well known family in Pakistan. He is the grandson of the renowned poet Faiz Ahmed Faiz, whose wife Alys Faiz was a well known educator.[1] His mother Muneeza Hashmi worked at PTV for many years. His aunt Salima Hashmi is a prominent educational personality known for a campaign supporting nuclear disarmament. Another relative, Mira Hashmi, is also a retired television actress.
