Addison Van Name (1835 September 29, 1922) was an American philologist and librarian, serving as University Librarian at Yale University from 1865 to 1904. He himself attended Yale, graduating as valedictorian in 1858.[1]

He was a member of the Acorn Club, to which he was elected in 1901. He was also a member of the Connecticut Academy of Arts and Sciences.
