Adam Boqvist (born August 15, 2000) is a Swedish junior ice hockey defenceman who is currently playing for the London Knights of the Ontario Hockey League (OHL) as a prospect to the Chicago Blackhawks of the National Hockey League (NHL). He was selected 8th overall by the Blackhawks in the 2018 NHL Entry Draft.
Playing career
Boqvist made his SHL debut with Brynäs on September 21, 2017.[1]
Following the 2018 NHL Entry Draft, Boqvist was signed to a three-year, entry-level contract by the Blackhawks.[2] On July 5, 2018, the London Knights of the OHL announced that Boqvist would join the team for the 2018–19 season.[3]
Personal life
Boqvist's older brother Jesper plays for Brynäs IF of the SHL, and was drafted by the New Jersey Devils in 2017.
