Adelaide de Clermont-Tonnerre is a French journalist and novelist. She won a Prix Françoise Sagan, and Prix Maison de la Presse.

Life

She studied at the École normale supérieure of Fontenay-Saint-Cloud (humanities and letters).[1][2] She began her career in the banking and finance sectors , especially in Mexico City for Societe Generale,[3] before becoming a journalist. First a journalist with Madame Figaro, she has been editor of Point de vue since 2014.

Starting in 2008, she was a member of the permanent jury of the Prix de la Closerie des Lilas, which rewards a woman's novel published between January and March of each year.[4] She is also a member of the Françoise-Sagan Award jury,[5] of which she was a recipient and a member of the Fitzgerald Award.

She was a member of the Commission on the image of women in the media.[6]

Her first novel, Fourrure, published in 2010, received the Maison de la Presse award,[7] the Françoise-Sagan Prize, the Bel Ami[8] prize, the First Woman's Award, and one of the Literary Awards The Lauriers Verts 2010, in category revelation. This novel was also a finalist of the Prix Goncourt of the first novel and the summer list of the Prix Renaudot.

Between 2010 and 2011, she took part in Franz-Olivier Giesbert's Critical Week TV show! (France 2). In September 2011, she was a columnist in the Pre-premieres cultural television program of Elizabeth Tchoungui (France 2). On the Paris Première channel the show Ça Balance à Paris, presented by Éric Naulleau, chose her to join the panel. On 23 May 2014 she made her first appearance as a columnist on the show Les pieds dans le plat on Europe 1 presented by Cyril Hanouna. Since the start of the 2016 academic year, she has been taking part in the news show France 2 presented by Thomas Thouroude.

In 2016, she released her second novel, The Last of Us. Reviews were positive

Family

She is married to Laurent Delpech, she is the mother of two boys.
