A Flower in Hell (지옥화Jiokhwa) is a 1958 South Korean film directed by Shin Sang-ok. For her performance in this film, Shin's wife, Choi Eun-hee was given the Best Actress award at the 2nd Buil Film Awards.[2] During the Korean War, director Shin Sang-ok had shared an apartment with a prostitute in order to live more comfortably rather than sharing a one-room evacuation apartment with several families, giving him insight in the subject of the film.

Young-sik (Kim Hak-a) lives in a base camp and sells out the warehouses of US military units and sells them to the market. His brother Dong-sik (Cho Hae-won) comes to Seoul to persuade his brother to take him to his hometown. He keeps trying to persuade him to go down, but he asks his sister to go down first, and when he does something big to Sonya (Choi Eun-hee), he goes down to the countryside and asks to get married. On the other hand, Sonya is mindful of Dongshin, tempts Dongshik while the party is stealing goods on a prom night. Sonya and Dongsik enjoy the fun on the riverside and Youngsik finds out , and Youngsikdang starts to steal from the US military transport train. Sonya reports to the military police about the plan to carry out the crime so that she could runaway with Dongshik.Donsik finds out and runs after his brother to save him. Youngsik is pursued by the police officers escapes with the truck turned over at the end of the shooting. Sonya, who has been chasing after Dongsik, is stabbed to death by Younsik.He then dies with a gunshot. Dong-sik goes down to the countryside with Yang Ji-ju (Jang-hee) who wanted to marry him.
