The 6.5×58mm Vergueiro is a centerfire cartridge designed in 1904 specifically for the Mauser-Vergueiro service rifle of the Portuguese Army. It remained the standard service rifle cartridge until the Mauser-Vergueiro was replaced by the Karabiner 98k in 1939.[1]
