«5kMiles» is an American rock band from New York City formed in late 2016. On December 19, 2017, 5kMiles released an English version of their album Walking in Circles, which was extremely popular in Ukraine a few years ago. They rethought lyrics from the new perspective using music that crashed the audience in Europe.[2]

History

5kMiles includes three members, all of which were born in Ukraine.

Since 2004 and up to recently, Volodymyr Novikov and Igor Ozarko were members of a popular Ukrainian band, Flit. Throughout their career, Flit released three albums, published two DVDs, and played at over 500 live shows traveling all over the world.[2]

After their move to the U.S., Vladimir and Igor continued their music career with the new band named 5kMiles. In December 2016, Roman Boyko joined 5kMiles as bass guitarist/backing vocalist, completing the band as a trio.[2]

On July 29, 2017, 5kMiles released a music video for their single “Walking in Circles” followed by the second music video, “Stop It”, on November 14, 2017.[2][3]

On December 19, 2017, 5kMiles released an English version of their album Walking in Circles, which consists of 9 songs.

In 2018 Vladislav Martsynkovskyy, professional musician-composer, co-founder of the band Flit, joined to the band as a new bass guitarist.
