Service

The 5 cm SK L/40 gun was primarily used as an anti-torpedo boat gun aboard avisos, corvettes,[2] gunboats,[3][4] protected cruisers,[5] submarines, torpedo boats[6] and unprotected cruisers. It was used by the navies of the German Empire, Nazi Germany, Belgium[7] and The Netherlands.[8][9]
