The 2020 Sukma Games, officially known as the 20th Sukma Games is a multi-sport event that will be held in Johor in 2020.[1][2] This will be Johor's second time to host the Sukma Games and its first time since 1992.[3][4]

Organisation

Host city

On 15 May 2015, during the Sukma executive committee meeting chaired by Youth and Sports Minister Khairy Jamaluddin, the committee jointly awarded Perak and Johor the hosting rights of the 2018 and 2020 Sukma Games respectively.[5]

Venues

In 2016, the government of Johor had started to build new venues to prepare the state to host the games and decided to include all the state's 10 districts. This included a track and field stadium to be built in Mount Austin.[6][7]
