The 2018 Northern Iowa Panthers football team represents the University of Northern Iowa in the 2018 NCAA Division I FCS football season. The team is coached by Mark Farley in his 18th season and play their home games in the UNI-Dome in Cedar Falls, Iowa as members of the Missouri Valley Football Conference.

Previous season

The Panthers finished the 2017 season 8–5, 6–2 in MVFC play to finish in a tie for second place. The Panthers received an at-large bid to the FCS Playoffs where they defeated Monmouth[1][2] in the first round before losing in the second round to South Dakota State.[3][4]
