The 2018 Kansas Jayhawks football team represents the University of Kansas in the 2018 NCAA Division I FBS football season. It is the Jayhawks 129th season. The Jayhawks are be led by fourth-year head coach David Beaty. They are members of the Big 12 Conference. They play their games at David Booth Kansas Memorial Stadium, formally Memorial Stadium. The stadium was renamed following the Jayhawks 2017 season in December 2017 after a $50 million renovation was completed that was donated by Kansas alumnus David Booth.[1]

With a 31–7 win over Central Michigan on September 8, the Jayhawks ended a streak of 46 consecutive road loses as well as an overall 12 game losing streak and a losing streak of 12 games against FBS opponents.[2] The following week, they defeated Rutgers 55–14 giving Kansas back-to-back wins against any opponent for the first time since 2011 and their first back-to-backs wins over FBS opponents since 2009.[3] The Jayhawks have lost 41 consecutive road games in the Big 12 with the last victory coming in 2008 against Iowa State. The Jayhawks entered the season with 10 consecutive losses against the Big 12 as well as 28 consecutive losses against ranked teams.
