Regular season

The 2019–20 ABL season is the nineth season of competition of the ASEAN Basketball League. The regular season started on 16 November 2018 and ended on 28 March 2018.[1]

Teams

All the teams in 2017-18 season return for the 2018-19 season. However, the following changes are noted:

  1. Chong Son Kung Fu Relocates and Rebrands to Macau Black Bears. [2]
  2. Zhuhai Wolf Warriors is the 10th team in the ABL, added after Kung Fu relocate to Macau. [3]

Regular season

Each team will play 26 games throughout the season, 10 at home and 10 away. Each team will play 9 other teams twice, home and away, for a total of 18 games, plus 4 more games against two teams, also home and away, taking the total to 26 games. This is how the teams were grouped on which teams will play each other four times:

  • Bears, Wolves, Long Lions, Dreamers, Pilipinas
  • Knights, Slingers, Dragons, Vampires, Heats
