The 2017–18 Maritime Junior A Hockey League season will be the 51st season in league history. The season will consist of 50 games to be played by each MHL team.

At the end of the regular season, the leagues top teams will compete for the Kent Cup, the league's playoff championship trophy. The team successful in winning the Kent Cup will have a chance to compete for the 2018 Fred Page Cup to determine the Eastern Canadian Champion, if successful in winning the team will then move on to compete for the 2018 Royal Bank Cup to determine the 2018 Junior 'A' champion.

Team Changes

The Dieppe Commandos relocated from Dieppe to Edmundston and are now known as the Edmundston Blizzard
