Summary

Management

United began the season under the management of Ray McKinnon, who has signed a three-year contract the previous season.[2] On 24 October 2017, following two consecutive defeats,[3] McKinnon left his position with immediate effect.[4] Assistant manager Laurie Ellis became caretaker manager.[5] On 8 November, United appointed former Heart of Midlothian manager Csaba László as manager on an 18 month contract.[6] Ellis continued as assistant manager.[7]
