The 2017–18 season was CA Oradea's 41st season, 36th in the Romanian football league system and their 1st season in the Liga V. In the summer of 2017, on the FC Bihor's dissolution background and the lack of a club where youth players could develop at senior level, Club Atletic Oradea, commonly known as CA Oradea or simply as CAO, the single Romanian football club champion in two different countries, Hungary (1944) and Romania (1949) was refounded, 54 years after his disappearance.[1] The club was enrolled in the 5th tier (second league of the Bihor County Championship), the colors were announced as the classic ones, white and green, also a collaboration with CSM Oradea (the club which took FC Bihor Youth Academy) was signed and a squad was created with the clear aim of attacking the promotion.[2][3]
