2016 Pakistan Football Federation Cup or formerly Pakistan National Football Challenge Cup is a competition run by the Pakistan Football Federation. Twenty-four teams took part in this competition from 28 January 2016 — 22 February 2016. KRL F.C. were the defending champions and defended their title this year as well. The Pakistan Football Federation Cup is currently the highest football level in Pakistan.

Renaming

The National Challenge Cup was renamed to PFF Cup for unknown reasons. After 8 months of lacking football action, It was announced that the tournament will take place from 28 January 2016 to 23 February 2016.

Format

Qualifying round

For qualification 15 teams from B Division and 1 team from PPFL will play a one-legged group stage matches, winners and runners-up from each group will qualify for final round.

Final round

Eight teams from qualification round and eight teams from PPFL will play in a group stage matches, with group winners and runners-up qualifying advancing in knock-out stages.
