The 2016 Nations Cup is the inaugural edition of the Nations Cup hosted in Malacca City, Malaysia from 3 to 5 June 2016. It is organised by MP & Silva with four under-21 teams: Malaysia U-21, Singapore U-21, Thailand U-21 and the Vietnam U-21 participate in the tournament. All matches were held at the Hang Jebat Stadium.[1][2]

Thailand earned the champion title after beating host Malaysia 2–1 in the final.[3]
