The 2009 Country Music Association Awards is a music award ceremony that was held on November 11, 2009, at the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tennessee. It aired live on ABC at 8:00/7:00 PM Central. The show was hosted by Brad Paisley & Carrie Underwood.

Taylor Swift leads the youngest person in CMA history to be nominated for, and win, the most prestigious awards of the night, entertainer of the year. Swift won all four awards she was nominated for, and was also honored with the International Artist Achievement Award, for spreading the awareness and appreciation for country music on an international level.[1]Brad Paisley won male vocalist of the year for a third straight time, while Lady Antebellum won vocal group of the year, snapping Rascal Flatts's winning streak of six straight.
