The 1993–94 NBA season was the Bullets' 33rd season in the National Basketball Association.[1] In the offseason, the Bullets acquired Kevin Duckworth from the Portland Trail Blazers. However, Duckworth never lived up to expectations as he struggled with weight problems. After a 6–6 start to the season, the Bullets struggles continued losing ten straight games, then suffering a nine-game losing streak in March. Injuries continued to bite the team as key players Rex Chapman, and top draft pick Calbert Cheaney missed significant stretches, and Pervis Ellison missed half of the season again. The Bullets finished last place in the Atlantic Division with a 24–58 record. Second-year forward Don MacLean led them with 18.2 points per game (tied with Chapman), and was named Most Improved Player of The Year. Following the season, Ellison signed as an unrestricted free agent with the Boston Celtics, Michael Adams was traded to the Charlotte Hornets, and head coach Wes Unseld was fired.
