The 1990 Cal State Northridge Matadors football team represented Cal State Northridge during the 1990 NCAA Division II football season.
Cal State Northridge competed in the Western Football Conference (WFC). The 1990 Matadors were led by fifth-year head coach Bob Burt. They played home games at North Campus Stadium in Northridge, California. Cal State Northridge finished the regular season as co-champion of the WFC, with a record of six wins and four losses (6–4, 4–1 WFC).
At the end of the season, the Matadors qualified for the Division II playoffs. In the first playoff game they were defeated by the other WFC co-champion, Cal Poly. That brought their final record to seven wins and four losses (7–4, 4–1 WFC). The Matadors outscored their opponents 179–173 for the season.
