1987 Karachi car bombing

1987 Karachi car bombing is incident of two car bomb blasts in July 1987 in Karachi in Pakistan killing 72 and injuring 250 persons. The blasts occurred on 14 July 1987 in evening in Saddar area of Karachi. Many of the dead were street vendors selling mangoes, second-hand clothing and trinkets. The injured were taken to Jinnah Post-Graduate Hospital . The Sind government declared three days of official mourning. No group claimed responsibility but government issued a statement saying: "The explosions appeared to be the work of saboteurs of foreign origin."[1]
