The 1880–81 Scottish Cup was the 8th playing of the Scottish Cup knockout tournament. Queen's Park beat Dumbarton in the final.[1] Although the first match was won 2-1 by Queen's Park, Dumbarton protested the match. The replay was won 3-1 by Queen's Park.[2] Both matches were played at Kinning Park.

Kinning Park, Glasgow
Dumbarton protested about spectators on the pitch during the first game and the protest was upheld. The game was played at Rangers home ground at the time, Kinning Park, and the large attendance spilled onto the pitch. Queens Park had also threatened to withdraw from the Scottish Association. The gates had to be closed during the replay.
