Ștefan Pop

Ștefan Pop (born in Bistrița in 1987) is a Romanian operatic tenor. He has won several prizes including, in 2010, Placido Domingo's Operalia competition[1] and the Seoul International Music Competition.[2]

He trained at the Gheorghe Dima Music Academy in Cluj-Napoca, graduating in 2010.[3]

Pop made his international operatic debut at Rome in December 2009 as Alfredo in La Traviata,[3] a part he has subsequently sung in several opera houses both inside and outside Italy, including Frankfurt and Geneva.[1]

In 2011 he took the part of Elvino in La Sonnambula at the Vienna State Opera.[1]
