Šefik Džaferović (born 9 September 1957 in Zavidovići) is the vice president of SDA and the current Bosniak Member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Personal life

Šefik Džaferović was born in 1957 in the Bosnian town of Zavidovići. He went to the Gymnasium in Zavidovići. After that he graduated on the Faculty of Law, University of Sarajevo in 1979. He worked in judicial institutions and for the police in Zavidovići and Zenica until 1996. He is married to his wife Vildana and has two children Jasmin and Jasmina.

Political career

In 1996. he was elected to the council of Zenica-Doboj Canton. In the same year he becomes a delegate in the House of Peoples of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Four years later he enters the House of Peoples of Bosnia and Herzegovina. In the election of 2002 he becomes a member of the Parliament of FBiH. In 2014 he is elected to the Parliament of BiH with 30 000 votes. In the 2018 elections he won for the Bosniak Member of the Presidency of BiH with over 36% of the votes.[1]
