Órfhlaith Begley (born 19 December 1991)[1] is an Irish Sinn Féin politician. She is the Member of Parliament (MP) for the West Tyrone UK Parliament constituency, having won the seat in a by-election on 3 May 2018.[2] She is from Carrickmore, County Tyrone. Begley will not be sitting in the House of Commons.
She has always had an interest in politics and she graduated with a degree in Law with Politics from Queen's University Belfast. Following this she continued her education at Queen's and studied at the Institute of Professional and Legal Studies graduating as a solicitor.
Before being elected she worked in a general solicitor practice in both civil and criminal law. She is a human rights advocate.
