Æðey

Æðey is a small island in the Westfjords region of Iceland.[1] It is inhabited by a single family and is a private family farm focused on environmentally sound eider down farming. The island is approximately 2 km (1 mi) by 0.5 km (0.3 mi). The highest point on the island is about 18 m (59.1 ft). It is important in the history of Iceland and especially of the Westfjords region.
