In this chapter, the narrator, David, talks to his dad about financial planning. His dad mentions how his barber helped him start planning his finances five years prior, and suggests that David go to talk to him about it.

David's dad had worked very hard his whole life, been frugal and done everything he knew how to do. However, without a well-formulated plan, he had little to show for it. Then, after talking with his barber, he was able to start setting himself up for a comfortable retirement.
