About the Author

Edwin S. Soriano is a project associate, researcher, technical consultant, and trainor for the Foundation for Information Technology, Education, and Development (FIT-ED) and Digital Philippines Foundation.

He is an Electrical Engineer from the University of the Philippines. The past years have found him teaching in an island without electricity in southern Philippines, deploying automation systems in the country's industrial parks, teaching cadets in the Philippine Military Academy north of Manila and conducting trainings, researches and projects focusing on ICT for development. His most permanent stead is an e-mail address he got back in 1996.
